Church of the Pines moved to 5106 South U Street, Suite B, in September, 2016. This is a duplex office setting which we have transformed into our beautiful chapel. The next room houses our lending library!
Merry Christmas!Christmas Service
Winter Solstice 29th Anniversary (Founded 12-21-1986) December 20, 2015 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the service, we will celebrate the Christmas season and our 29th anniversary at Fuji's Japanese Steakhouse. Please join us! On January 11, we began a study which will continue on January 18. The focus is on the various ways humanity has been given to evolve spiritually. As a framework, we are looking at the main types of YOGAS, as taught in the East, and relating those to practices in the West, especially Christianity. On January 18, we will begin talking about Bhakti Yoga, which is actually devotion! Depending on time, we will also discuss Karma Yoga (service, good works), Jnana Yoga, Raja Yoga, and Agni Yoga. If needed, this will be carried over to a third Sunday. As always, we meet at 11:00 a.m. in Woodcrest Park Office Complex, room 108-A.
At 11:00 a.m., following our opening prayers, Terry Lynch of Prescott, AZ (formally of Fort Smith and active in our group) will bring a special presentation. He will give us updates on White Mountain Education Association, a very active "sister group" of Church of the Pines in Arizona.
At 11:30, we will link up via Wifi and television (loaned by Terry) with the live services of White Mountain that begin at that time. We will have the opportunity to hear a lecture by their founder, the inspiring Joleen Dubois. This live service will last until approximately 12:15, so this puts us a little over time that morning. It will be worth it! We look forward to seeing our friend, Terry, and are thankful for what he'll be bringing to our services! Merry Christmas from Church of the Pines! 4th Sunday of Advent Winter Solstice 28th Anniversary of Church of the Pines Please join us as we honor these most glorious events! This will be our Christmas service as well as a time to give thanks for the founding of our church (12-21-86.) Holy Communion will be served. Following our time of worship, we will joyfully celebrate with a meal at the newly re-opened El Zarape Mexican restaurant at 8909 Rogers Ave. It all begins at 11:00 a.m.; Church of the Pines; 2120 S. Waldron Rd., Ste. 108-A. This Sunday, December 14, is the 3rd Sunday of Advent. Randy Jo Neilson will lead the group in a study of the angelic kingdom. She has been working diligently on this for several weeks, so we look forward to hearing her lesson! 11:00 a.m.
It's about time!! Finally changed web hosts and found one I can actually work without a million glitches getting in the way! My New Year's resolution is to stay on top of this website (now that it is one not causing headaches) and be current! I hope our group holds me to it....nudging me along the way....

Nicholas Roerich
The paintings found on most of our pages are by Nicholas Roerich (1874 - 1947), Russian artist, philosopher, writer, humanitarian. The painting depicted here is titled "Remember." This has always made me think of "leaving the Father's Home." We too often fail to remember our spiritual heritage when we go down into the valleys of life.
